Deva is a proud mother of five, an ex-track and field athlete and a trained relaxation therapist. She is the founder of ArtofNoMind, a holistic system of deep bodywork, meditation, Kalarippayat and transformative life coaching. Deva has been a meditator and body-worker for almost 20 years. „Relaxation is a matter of being, not a matter of knowing“ is her motto. Deva’s personal path felt complete when she encountered Kalari in 2015. It became part of her daily practice, and she started teaching herself in late 2017. Deva’s work knows no segregation, but he current work bears a strong focus on the sustainable and holistic empowerment of women.

A Journey into Active Meditation

What is Active Meditation?

 

It is one of the key practices for the active people of today’s modern world, a key for the transition from action into silence. We will meet in an opening circle and start our workshop with a short introduction to the NoMind Lifestyle.

 

In the two workshops I am offering at this year’s LYC I will explain why Active Meditation is such a powerful tool for us today and how you can integrate the NoMind Lifestyle into your daily life and the roles of your being. But most importantly, we will take a journey! After the opening circle we will begin to shift our focus and prepare for for 60 minutes of Dynamic Meditation, a prime example of Active Meditation. This meditation will shake you and lead you to the depth. It is a powerful Body-Mind Detox creates room in you being, so meditation can happen. The resulting awakeness and mindfulness will help you to center more easily. Together as a group, we will scale the five steps: Chaotic Breathing, Catharsis, Mahamantra Hu, Latihan and Celebration. I will guide you with my voice, occasionally reminding you of the important part during the meditation: Stay the witness and observe what is unfolding. The more suppressed life energy is released, the more you will get in contact with your Self and the truth. The energy released will raise your individual potential and efficacy in this world - live from your core of your Being and enjoy your life!

 

After a short break we will prepare for the next part of our workshop and take a 60 minute dive into the world of sound. We will explore our new found ease and freedom in the Chakra Sound Meditation, which can unveil some of the mysterious characteristics of the chakras and open the doors to a new-found way of perceiving ourselves. We will use three cycles of at least 15 minutes of sounding our ways through the chakras: Standing, sitting and laying down. Our journey together will finish with a celebration: Dance, celebrate your own being and offer gratitude to the universe.
